Voter Guidance

  • Vote Smart: Just the Facts
Project Vote Smart includes awesome resources created and researched by volunteers. Search the site for millions of facts and records of politicians across the country. This interactive site is both fun to use with access to a lot of pertinent information.
  • On The Issues: Every Political Leader on Every Issue
Some of the information, on this site, needs updating to reflect current political races. But it does include good background information on political issues, candidates, past and current office-holders. There is a "VoteMatch Quiz" which asks you to select a set of candidates and to answer 20 questions. Your views are then compared with the selected list of candidates.
  • NPR Politics
South Carolina Public Radio describes this site:

"The NPR Politics Podcast is where NPR's political reporters talk to you like they talk to each other. With weekly roundups, quick takes on news of the day, and reporting from the campaign trail, you don't have to keep up with politics to know what's happening this election year. You just have to keep up with us."
  • The Political Compass
This site has been up since 2001 and includes information about political thought. There are charts indicating where particular candidates/officials fall as evidenced by their speeches/actions. Take the test for an analysis of your political ideology.
  • SC State Election Commission
Get live election results, register to vote, find your polling location, keep up with candidates and find many other resources on this site.
